Do you remember that feeling when you were a kid and on your way to pick up your photo prints from the film roll you dropped off one (very long) hour ago? I do! It’s the same feeling I get now when I’m waiting for my own gallery of family photos from a photographer. It’s also the feeling I get when I’m driving home from our shoot and I JUST CAN’T WAIT to see your photos from my camera. It’s excitement and joy. Two things I feel every day about my job.
My photography career started 14 years ago - shooting a couple weddings for family. My equipment was not professional, but my heart was there. Forever known as the girl who took too many photos, I once went through 20+ rolls of film on a high school trip to Europe (ahh… the days of pre-digital cameras). After college, I left the Photography World for the Land of Marketing. Fast forward to 2018, Coty with a new camera for Christmas from my husband and my first baby on the way.
As a way to stay home with my newborn (now five-year-old) daughter, I decided to take the jump back into photography to spend more time with my tiny human. I soon learned that capturing the moments, big and small, of peoples’ lives made me immensely happy. Being surrounded by silly families, loving couples, and giggling children on a day-to-day basis is the best part of my job (and I LOVE my job)!
I feel honored to be invited into your lives, even if just for a day, to document the moments and people most important to you.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, introducing my daughters to the world, board games, and sometimes just lounging on the couch with my pets and Netflix. Other obsessions include: science podcasts, crochet, watercolor, Mid-Century design, and baking.
