I don’t know what is happening with this August weather, but we’ve got some major fall vibes happening right now! I haven’t broken down and had my first pumpkin flavored caffeinated beverage of the year but I’m ready for the crisp air, cozy sweaters, and falling leaves of autumn.

September and October Sessions are booking quickly. With our girls getting older, Autumn availability is more limited with full-day school and extracurriculars making their way into our day-to-day mix. Between just our two big kids we’ve got soccer, performance arts, dance, gymnastics, and violin!

When will I get my gallery?

Any session taking place before Halloween is guaranteed a full gallery in hand before Thanksgiving. Any one-hour session after Halloween is guaranteed 5 edited photos with the potential of a gallery in hand by Thanksgiving, but no guarantees.

What time of day should I book?

For the best light, we’d recommend booking the earliest or latest time available. Our calendar takes Golden Hour into account! So you don’t need to go researching sunrise and sunset times. These times will give you the best lighting and is also when most locations tend to be more empty.

What if we need to reschedule?

Ahh… October in Seattle. Some days it’s beautiful and some days it’s downright depressing. When it comes to weather, we work with your comfort level. If you’re feeling too cold and wet in your photos, it’s going to show. We will check in with you a couple days before your session to chat about the upcoming weather, if we think it might be an issue.

Let’s talk kids. We both have kids (four between us) and understand that colds can get the best of us. No one wants to have their sick kiddo outside in autumn weather or have to deal with a sick kiddo, period. We will always work with you to reschedule for illness. This helps keep both your family and our families happy and healthy!

By taking on fewer sessions, this means we do have some availability for reschedules, but there is no guarantee it’ll happen before that end of October mark.

Can I use my referral discount?

You betcha! What’s the referral discount, you may ask? For anyone you refer to Posy and Pine who books a session with us, you get $50 off your next session and they get $50 off their session! We do our best to track all referrals, but if we happen to miss it (or you have a friend who books after you’ve signed your contract), let us know and we’ll make sure to credit your invoice!
