This family was the sweetest and they reminded me of a very important fact when it comes to a Newborn Shoot… we DON’T have to stay inside. If you’re comfortable taking your little one out to your backyard for some sunshine, let’s do it!!!

I come to every newborn shoot with some basic swaddles, bows if you would like a selection, a Moses basket, and some newborn prop pillows. However, I don’t want to spend our shoot just focusing on your baby. I want to capture that interaction of baby and mama or baby and dad, BUT it is helpful to have a comfortable spot to lay the baby whether we’re outside in the grass or inside capturing all of those tiny details (like the ears and eyes and toes).
