Why Posy & Pine?

So, why Posy & Pine? Where does the name come from? Who are Posy and Pine? 

Posy is our dog. She's a year and a half old, Australian Shepherd mixed mutt. We adopted her from the Three Rivers Humane Society in Madras, Oregon in January 2017 after losing my first dog to cancer in December. She was just too cute to pass up after seeing her picture online. She was a welcome addition to the family after such a heartbreaking loss with Watson. Her energy and happiness are infectious (and sometimes overbearing). 

Pine is for the Northwest. The Evergreen State really is forever green. The beauty of this state surrounds us and we love getting out as often as possible. Thanks to a gift from a friend, Baby E has become my "pine" in these pictures.

Right now, these two don't really know what to do with each other. Posy sniffs, licks, and attempts to roll over E. E just kind of stares Posy down with a "What are you?" face and gives a good giggle when she can get a fistful of fur. Once finger foods come into play, these two will be the best of friends. Right now, they nap.
